The Lead Developer will design, build, and oversee development of modern data interfaces between the Medicaid system and enterprise system modules. This role is hands-on while also providing technical leadership, mentoring, and code review guidance within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of data integration solutions using AWS Glue, Lambda, ECS, and related cloud services.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize interface code using Python, JavaScript, and API-based integrations.
- Work extensively with MarkLogic for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using AWS CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with architects on solution design, security, and performance standards.
- Perform code reviews and provide technical leadership to the development team.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple systems and technology stacks.
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and detailed technical documentation.
- 7 years of software development experience; 2 years in a senior/lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, APIs, and serverless architectures.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
- Experience with MarkLogic or similar NoSQL/document databases.
- Familiarity with Agile development, CICD pipelines, and version control.
- Medicaid or government healthcare experience preferred, but not required
