Role Description
Operations & Production Management
• Own end-to-end manufacturing execution including scheduling, capacity planning, workflow management, and on-time delivery performance
• Drive OTD, cycle time, yield, and throughput KPIs; establish and report metrics to corporate leadership on a regular cadence
• Manage production planning in alignment with customer demand, material availability, and machine capacity
• Maintain equipment uptime through effective preventive maintenance programs and vendor coordination
• Oversee all PCB manufacturing processes.
• Serve as the site's primary owner of quality management system compliance, including AS9100D, ISO 9001, and UL certifications
People Leadership
• Lead, develop, and retain a skilled manufacturing workforce including shift supervisors, technicians, and support staff
• Conduct performance management, coaching, and development planning; hold direct reports accountable to clear goals
• Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement on the plant floor
• Manage cross-shift communication and ensure consistent execution across all production shifts
Safety & Environmental
• Enforce all safety policies and applicable regulations; maintain a zero-incident safety culture
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical process materials in compliance with environmental permits and ISO9001/AS9100 requirements.
• Lead incident investigations; implement corrective actions and track closure
Financial & Administrative
• Manage the facility operating budget including labor, materials, overhead, and capital expenditures
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery
• Report facility performance metrics to corporate leadership; provide variance analysis and corrective action plans
• Coordinate with supply chain on material procurement, inventory management, and supplier performance at the facility level
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Act as the primary operational liaison between the Milwaukee facility and corporate functions in St. Petersburg (sales, quality, supply chain, finance)
• Collaborate with inside sales and program management on customer commitments, expedites, and escalations
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change implementation on the manufacturing floor
• Provide facility input for capital investment decisions, equipment upgrades, and capacity expansion planning
Qualifications
Required
• 7 years of manufacturing operations experience, with at least 3 years in a site or plant management role
• Experience in a regulated, certified manufacturing environment (AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to manage production KPIs (OTD, yield, throughput, cost) and lead teams accountable to measurable outcomes
• Strong working knowledge of quality management systems, root cause analysis methodologies, and corrective action processes
• Proven people leadership skills: hiring, coaching, performance management, and culture building
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related technical field — or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
• Direct experience in PCB fabrication or a closely related electronics/precision manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with ITAR regulations and controlled manufacturing environments
• Experience with AS9100D (aerospace/defense) certification requirements
