Packaging Associate
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Packaging Associate to join our second-shift pharmacy fulfillment team. In this role, you will pack prescription medications into mailers for shipment via UPS and USPS, including temperature-sensitive orders that require ice packs and additional cold-chain packing steps. You will work at your own dedicated packing station alongside a fast-moving shipping team and fellow packers, making sure every order leaves our facility accurately packed and ready for carrier pickup.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive bins from the shipping team containing medication and a pre-printed shipping label, and pack each order securely into the appropriate mailer.
- Pack temperature-sensitive medications with the required number of ice packs, following all cold-chain packing procedures to maintain product integrity.
- Verify that each package is correctly packed and labeled before it is staged for shipment.
- Keep your workstation stocked by bringing boxes of ice packs and mailer supplies from storage down to the shipping area.
- Carry bags of completed packages back upstairs and store them in the walk-in freezer or outdoor shed until UPS or USPS pickup.
- Keep pace with the shipping team in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and packing quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to medication handling, safety, and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in packing, shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, or pharmacy environments is a plus, but not required – training is provided.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures consistently.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working a second-shift schedule.
- Team player who communicates well and is willing to pitch in where needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work at a packing station for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly use stairs while carrying supplies and packages, and to lift up to 30 lbs. (Team assistance is always available for heavier items.)
- Comfortable briefly entering a walk-in freezer and an outdoor storage shed in varying temperatures.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive packing tasks.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
