What You Will Do

• Ability to enter/exit tractor.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections of tractor and trailer on a safety checklist. Log any defects and alert manager of any needed repairs.
• Must be able to properly couple and uncouple trailers and raise/lower trailer landing gear.
• Back trailers in and out of shipping/receiving docks.
• Drive trailers to designated areas safely and appropriately.
• Time management skills in order to guarantee on time delivery.
• Maintain accurate and legible paperwork.
• Assist shipping department with loading and unloading of trailers as needed.
• Basic understanding of government rules and regulations surrounding the operation of a CMV.
• Maintenance CDL in good standing.
• Responsible for ensuring proper load securement of all freight.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL with the ability to meet all DOT requirements, including physical, drug screening, road test, and a clean MVR.
• Ability to safely lift and handle up to 50 lbs.
• Strong basic math skills and ability to work with measurements and calculations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting shipping, receiving, and production documents.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Comfortable working and driving in a variety of weather conditions.
• Strong reading and writing skills for documentation and communication.
• Flexibility to work weekends or overtime as business needs require.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management.
