What You’ll Do
You’ll be trusted to keep production flowing by setting up, maintaining, and fine-tuning innerspring assembly and coiler machines.
- Respond to machine trouble lights, diagnose issues, and make mechanical adjustments
- Perform assembly and coiler machine setups according to specifications
- Monitor coil size, quality, and unit measurements to ensure product standards are met
- Lubricate machine components and perform routine preventive maintenance
- Set up coreless wire reels and ensure machines are stocked with backup coils and helical wire
- Tag and manage partially used wire rolls
- Monitor open machines and ensure they are ready to run when needed
- Provide backup coil baskets to assembly operators to minimize downtime
- Perform major coiler setup changes (e.g., converting from 5-turn to 6-turn coils)
- Conduct advanced diagnostics to identify mechanical issues (valves, bearings, timing)
- Complete advanced coiler tuning and re-timing after cam changes
- Independently perform advanced repairs on assemblers and coilers (e.g., finger shaft replacement, chuck repair)
What You Bring
You’re mechanically inclined, self-sufficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- 1–2 years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial or manufacturing machinery
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment performance
