What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain 2D production drawings using AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software
- Convert customer specifications, patterns, and templates into manufacturing-ready files
- Develop optimized CNC nesting layouts that maximize material yield and minimize scrap
- Prepare machine-ready cut files for CNC equipment
- Verify dimensions, scaling, and layout accuracy before production release
- Collaborate with Production, Scheduling, Materials, and CNC Operators to support manufacturing goals
- Troubleshoot production file and nesting issues to improve efficiency and quality
- Support prototype development, production changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
We’re seeking someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and eager to learn:
- High school diploma or GED required; CAD-related education or technical training preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in CAD drafting, CNC nesting, or manufacturing support
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software
- Experience creating machine-ready files for CNC cutting operations
- Strong understanding of drawings, measurements, layouts, and manufacturing documentation
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
