An experienced technologist who provides diagnostic procedures that require the use of equipment that produces ionizing radiation. This experienced technologist assists patients through the mammogram process while using low-dose X-ray imaging equipment to view the breast. Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff. This technologist is required to float to other modalities/areas in the diagnostic services department to meet patient care needs.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Radiology required or must have completed an accredited radiology technology program.
Experience Qualifications
  • 2 years of Mammography experience is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice is required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification in Mammography is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Pay Range:

$32.58 - $48.87

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
