What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse Pre-Op/PACU position at HSC Ambulatory?
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the delivery of patient care through nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for all patients within the Pre-Op / PACU scope of services.
- Closely monitor patient and notify doctor of any changes in patient status, follow orders given.
- Maintain crash cart and ensures that all appropriate medications are available and current, all equipment is available and in operating order.
- Comply with DOH, The standards of Joint Commission, OSHA, all other federal and state requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Be willing and able to assist surgical and clerical staff when warranted.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) New Jersey license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, preferably in PACU or recovery room setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Excellent starting IV
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem
