Role
We are currently seeking an ambitious professional to join the team in the role of Associate Director, Global Business Management. The role has a broad remit covering aspects of business strategy, business analytics and business performance management across the GPS business. The role demands are high, requiring the ability to navigate a large global footprint, with challenging deliverables and timelines. Key accountabilities include:

- Solve issues facing the business through connecting people, leveraging the network and providing expertise.
- Synthesize strategy & data to drive the GPS narrative and outcomes.
- Support the governance around business performance which may include reporting into senior stakeholders across the Group, taxonomy, cost control, ways of working, workforce management, FTE management, etc.
- Build and maintain strong networks with key internal stakeholders, enabling execution at pace and be seen as a key influencer.
- Provides support and guidance in an environment that is often non-routine, delegated and has conditions of uncertainty.
- Must be strategic thinker, with the ability to work with others to collectively develop and execute complex strategic plans
- Knowledge of the GPS business and broader construct of HSBC’s Global Businesses
- Demonstrated ability and understanding of the banking and financial services industry, as well as the regulatory and economic environment
- Strong communication skills (both spoken and written)
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills that facilitates strong collaboration across business areas to deliver desired business outcomes and objectives
- Proven track record and confidence to work with internal senior management
- Able to work with a considerable degree of autonomy and pace on high priority deliverables
- Success in working within small and fast-paced teams
