As our Core Technology Hardware Architect Lead, IBM Z, you will:
- Review and implement global best practices, strategy, policies, processes and procedures for hardware deployment and configuration management on IBM Z platform to aid and improve performance and quality of services
- Ensure hardware and software ever-greening strategies and processes are in place to meet platform objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets
- Take ownership of the hardware and software management policy, guidelines and any associated documents as well as, review and collaborate with the global practices and guidelines for configuration changes, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated deployment and management
- Collaborate on the development of the global guidelines and standards and communicate on the approaches and tooling required for hardware and software stack management on IBM Z platform
- Identify/Promote emerging technology trends and automation practices in the hardware and software management space to ensure IBM Z is leveraging them when appropriate to increase efficiency and productivity, reduce costs, and drive value
- Create standards for supported systems and maintain detailed documentation of the mainframe network infrastructure, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Be responsible for trouble shooting and identifying the root cause of issues and implementing effective solutions
- Facilitate and lead cross team collaborations both on and off IBM Z platform
- Experience with the IBM Z software stack management and has good understanding of configuration management and concepts
- Has worked extensively with multi-regional and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong management skills together with the ability to motivate stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds
- Ability to develop a culture that embraces innovation, and challenges existing paradigms
