You’ll be responsible for evaluating, quoting, and underwriting risks within your binding authority, while also cultivating agency and broker relationships to support growth and retention goals.

The salary range for this position is $99,000 - $146,000 plus opportunity for company bonus. In addition, the company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

About The Role
As a Senior Production Underwriter, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of equipment breakdown accounts across various occupancies. You’ll be responsible for evaluating, quoting, and underwriting risks within your binding authority, while also cultivating agency and broker relationships to support growth and retention goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of equipment breakdown business, including renewals and new submissions.
- Evaluate risks and make sound underwriting decisions in alignment with company guidelines.
- Partner with Business Development, Engineering, Claims, and other internal teams to deliver exceptional service.
- Conduct virtual and in-person client visits to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
- Prepare for sales calls by reviewing account history, claims, and renewal activity; document key discussion points.
- Mentor team members and help resolve communication challenges internally and externally.
- Drive new business growth and renewal retention; performance measured by premium targets and hit ratios.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience, preferably in Property & Casualty.
- Background in mechanical or facilities engineering is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of P&C insurance products and underwriting practices.
- Strong financial acumen and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with digital tools, platforms, and prioritization modeling.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
