Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Architect with 6 years of experience who is capable of managing and running projects, specifically within the commercial corporate office sector. This role requires someone who is both a strong technical architect and a reliable team leader—comfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative studio environment.
What You’ll Do
Project Leadership
- Manage architectural projects through all phases, from programming and design through construction administration, consistent with client standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal team members
- Develop and maintain project schedules and deliverables
- Take ownership of project outcomes, including quality, coordination, and client satisfaction
Corporate Client Focus
- Work closely with corporate clients to understand operational needs, brand standards, and workplace strategies
- Translate client goals into clear, buildable design solutions
- Support ongoing client relationships and contribute to repeat business
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Work within a team-oriented environment, collaborating with architects, engineers, and support staff
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior staff as needed
- Delegate work effectively and review for quality and accuracy
- Contribute to a positive, accountable, and supportive studio culture
Technical Execution
- Lead the development and coordination of construction documents
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
- Coordinate with consultants and internal disciplines
- Participate in construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, submittals, and punch lists
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
- 6 years of experience in an architectural practice
- Ability to independently manage projects and teams
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and construction methods
- Proficiency in Revit/BIM workflows
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred
- Licensed Architect (or actively pursuing licensure)
- Experience working with corporate/commercial clients
- Sustainable design experience (LEED or similar)
