What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Internal Audit & Compliance Analyst position at HS1?
- Maintain the organization’s Internal Audit Program, including supporting policies, procedures, forms, and outcome reports.
- Conduct audits with a focus on healthcare laws, payer contracts, and CMS guidelines.
- Analyze and document audit findings, identifying key risks and proposing corrective actions.
- Lead efforts in identifying trends and outliers for potential FWA cases and coordinate reviews through the SIU.
- Ensure proper documentation and communication of potential FWA cases to relevant individuals or committees.
- Support external regulatory inspections and internal audits, including document reviews, protocol validation, and training coordination.
- Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs based on audit findings.
- Maintain and update a knowledge base of healthcare regulations, industry standards, and internal processes.
- Collaborate with operational departments and subject matter experts to identify new areas of concern and design additional audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with Client/Health Plan designees in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Support the Compliance Officer with policy and procedure updates and serve as a member of the Compliance Committee.
- Gather, analyze, and consolidate data for executive leadership and regulatory reporting, ensuring content and scheduling requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred certification in Healthcare Compliance (e.g., CHC, CHPC),
- 3–5 years in healthcare compliance, internal audit, or regulatory affairs with significant experience in supporting FWA programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
