Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform Administration
- Serve as the primary administrator and technical resource for SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and related Microsoft 365 services.
- Design, implement, and support SharePoint sites, document management processes, permissions, governance standards, and workflows.
- Build and maintain Power Automate flows and Power Apps solutions to streamline business processes and reduce manual work.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify and deliver productivity improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled use cases within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Promote effective use of Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and automation-related issues.
Business Productivity and Automation Enablement
- Act as a trusted advisor to business teams, helping them rethink and improve processes using Microsoft tools and automation.
- Identify opportunities to leverage existing licensing and capabilities before introducing new tools or vendors.
- Design scalable, reusable automation patterns and best practices for Power Automate and related tools.
- Support adoption of AI and automation capabilities within Microsoft 365, helping teams understand practical use cases and drive measurable efficiency gains.
- Develop lightweight governance and standards for automation, workflow design, and solution lifecycle management.
Microsoft Technology Awareness and Planning
- Monitor Microsoft's product roadmap, service updates, licensing changes, and platform enhancements.
- Assess the impact of upcoming Microsoft changes and new capabilities, especially in automation and AI, and communicate recommendations.
- Provide guidance on best practices across the Microsoft ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Power Platform.
Infrastructure Monitoring and Performance Management
- Administer and maintain SolarWinds monitoring solutions.
- Configure and optimize monitoring across servers, storage, networking, applications, and cloud services.
- Develop dashboards, alerts, reporting, and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Analyze trends and recommend improvements to performance and reliability.
Systems Engineering and Infrastructure Operations
- Manage and support a Nutanix-based virtual infrastructure and Windows server environment.
- Perform system administration, maintenance, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain system reliability, availability, and performance across platforms.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution.
Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Manage enterprise backup solutions and ensure successful execution of backup and recovery processes.
- Perform periodic backup validation and disaster recovery testing.
- Maintain documentation related to backup procedures and business continuity requirements.
Network Security and Firewall Administration
- Configure and maintain enterprise firewall platforms.
- Implement security policies, access controls, VPN configurations, and segmentation strategies.
- Monitor security events and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and risks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online environments.
- Experience building or supporting Power Automate workflows and/or Power Apps solutions.
- Strong understanding of business process improvement and automation concepts.
- Experience with SolarWinds monitoring and alerting platforms.
- Experience supporting Nutanix infrastructure and Windows Server environments.
- Experience managing enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of firewall administration, VPN technologies, and network security principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure).
- Experience with Power Platform governance and solution lifecycle management.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with AI capabilities within Microsoft 365 (Copilot, intelligent automation scenarios).
- Experience working in highly available, enterprise production environments.
