Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and offer personalized recommendations to maximize sales opportunities
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling when appropriate
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Maintain visual merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves efficiently
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and supporting merchandising initiatives
- Uphold phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Support the team with basic retail math for transactions, pricing, and inventory management
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting at all times
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead small teams is advantageous
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
