ABOUT HYDROBUILDER HOLDINGS

Hydrobuilder Holdings partners with cultivators across the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) spectrum — from large commercial facilities to independent and emerging growers. Our mission is to help growers improve yield, reduce operating costs and increase profitability by combining curated products, logistics, advisory expertise and integrated technology into one aligned ecosystem.

Elevated, our commercial division, is a tech-enabled service platform for CEA operations. Through dedicated Account Executives, Cultivation Advisors, proprietary brands and AI-driven crop optimization tools, Elevated supports professional growers from facility build-out through harvest optimization. Hydrobuilder.com, “The Growers Marketplace,” serves smaller and mid-sized growers with a robust digital platform offering curated products, education and an expanding B2B portal experience. At the core of our innovation is our integrated AgTech program, applying AI, sensor data and lab analytics to deliver actionable insights that improve consistency, efficiency and margins across the cultivation lifecycle.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION

The Elevated Cultivation Technician   is a field-based execution specialist responsible for structured facility data collection, system documentation, AgTech monitoring support, and sampling integrity within licensed commercial cultivation facilities. This role serves as the execution backbone of Elevated's AgTech Field Service Program — collecting defensible, repeatable data that enables Cultivation Advisors to deliver strategic recommendations. The Cultivation Technician operates with precision and discipline, adhering to a clear mandate: execute consistently, document precisely, and escalate responsibly. All advisory decisions are escalated to the assigned Cultivation Advisor or Cultivation Strategist.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Facility Assessment & Structured Data Collection

  • Execute standardized facility assessments using approved workflows
  • Collect and document environmental metrics including temperature, humidity, VPD-related readings, airflow indicators, and PAR/PPFD measurements
  • Document objective room-level variability with strict observational neutrality (no interpretation)
  • Upload complete field data to support Advisor reporting

Equipment Mapping & Infrastructure Documentation

  • Document and maintain accurate records of lighting systems, HVAC and dehumidification capacity, RO and filtration systems, fertigation and irrigation infrastructure, and environmental monitoring and sensor placement
  • Technicians document what exists — Advisors determine optimization strategy

AgTech Monitoring & System Support

  • Verify proper operation of sensor systems and confirm data connectivity and integrity
  • Identify, flag, and log anomalies, service notes, and system observations
  • Perform basic functionality checks (system strategy decisions escalated to Advisors)

Sampling & Chain of Custody Execution

  • Collect tissue, water, substrate, runoff, and pathogen samples following strict chain-of-custody procedures
  • Ensure consistent sampling location, timing, labeling, and sanitation practices
  • Maintain biosecurity compliance and submit samples per approved cadence
  • Technicians do not interpret lab results or communicate conclusions independently

Recurring Program Execution

  • Execute assigned sampling tracks at weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cadence as required
  • Support baseline data collection during client onboarding
  • Ensure continuity of historical data to maintain service repeatability across core package tiers

Product Trial, Implementation & Preferred Solutions Integration

  • Design and manage structured product and technology trials aligned with the AgTech Program
  • Execute trial milestones, capture validation data, and support cross-functional implementation
  • Manage platform integration (Elevated One) and support conversion from trial to standardized solution

Procedural Compliance Verification

  • Verify adherence to documented mixing and irrigation procedures
  • Document observed deviations and escalate inconsistencies or system irregularities
  • Support mechanical troubleshooting when directed (strategic nutrients, irrigation, and environmental decisions are escalated)

Escalation & Risk Identification

  • Immediately escalate suspected pathogen pressure, severe crop stress or pest pressure indicators, biosecurity risk, abnormal data readings, system failures, and safety risks
  • When uncertain — pause and escalate

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Commercial Account Executives, Lab Services teams, AgTech and data teams,

Cultivation Advisors, Cultivation Strategists, Operations Coordinators, and Service Advisors

  • Update CRM and internal systems to ensure continuity across all touchpoints

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)

  • On-time field report submission ≥ 95%
  • Sampling accuracy & chain-of-custody compliance: 100%
  • Escalation within SLA ≥ 95%
  • Data completeness rate ≥ 98%
  • Package cadence adherence ≥ 98%
  • Safety incident rate: 0 preventable incidents
  • Advisor data turnaround support: ≤ 48 hours from facility visit

KEY CHALLENGES

  • Maintaining strict observational neutrality while working in complex, high-pressure cultivation environments that may prompt on-the-spot interpretation
  • Managing a geographically distributed service territory with consistent cadence, biosecurity compliance, and data quality across diverse client facilities
  • Navigating ambiguous or escalation-worthy situations with sound judgment while staying within defined role scope
  • Executing structured product trials with rigor and documentation standards sufficient for data-driven advisory conclusions

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years in technical field service, cultivation support, or AgTech operations preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; familiarity with environmental controls and irrigation systems preferred
  • Experience with digital reporting platforms and CRM systems
  • Customer-facing field professionalism and the ability to operate with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license and flexibility for regular travel
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable standing, climbing, and working in humid, high-light, active production environments
  • Flexible schedule aligned with assigned service routes and client cadence

COMPENSATION

  • Performance-based incentives
  • Company vehicle provided
