What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Staff position at HRYMCA?

Our Front Desk Staff are the front line of community change in our Y. The ideal candidate for this role can build rapport well with others, enjoys engaging with people of all backgrounds, and has excellent problem-solving skills.
Job Duties:
- Establish meaningful rapport and relationships with members
- Administrative tasks relating to selling & managing memberships, registering people for programs, and assisting members in signing up for classes & pool time
- Fielding member requests & questions both in the facility and over the phone
- Offering and guiding tours of the facility
- Handling cash & credit card payments
- Ensure that all who enter the building are checking in with the front desk
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience required, at least 2 years preferred
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Experience with computers and database platforms required
