Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to manage key client projects in a technical product engineering environment, facilitating Hybrid Agile Project management processes for both hardware and software.
Position Description: The Senior Technical Project Manager will oversee all aspects of key client projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress within budget and scope. This role requires serving as a Scrum Master for multiple technical product development teams, implementing Hybrid Agile processes, creating project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project, and coordinating seamlessly across technical and non-technical departments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage key client projects, overseeing all aspects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring/summarizing progress within budget and scope.
- Facilitate Hybrid Agile Project management processes, principles, and practices in a product engineering environment.
- Serve as Scrum Master for two or more technical product development teams, managing daily/weekly stand-up meetings.
- Create project schedules, status reviews, updates, and tracking on a weekly basis using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheets.
- Plan upcoming work in a backlog, prioritize team tasks, and organize work cycles into sprints for incremental delivery.
- Utilize internal Kanban tools (Zenhub) to organize and track tasks with teams and stakeholders.
- Write Epics, user stories, and break down stories into tasks with accurate estimates for planning purposes.
- Coordinate with other departments and directly with clients to ensure deliverables meet applicable scope and budget.
- Proactively identify impediments and work with team members, stakeholders, or leadership to remove them and resolve risks quickly.
- Adhere to physical requirements, including site visits that may require lifting a minimum of 30 pounds, driving vehicles, wearing protective equipment (hard hat), and exposure to manufacturing/engineering environments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in engineering or related field
- 10 years of experience in Engineering and technical program/project management
- 5 years of experience in a role as a project manager
- 5 years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master
- Experience working in an Engineering environment for Hardware and Software
- Working knowledge of Zenhub or similar Kanban tools
- Ability to generate Project Schedules with Primavera P6, MS project or Smartsheets
- Must be local to the Boston, MA area and available to work on-site (No relocation)
- Current, valid driver's license
