Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is seeking a Logistics Manager III with Secret Security Clearance for a role at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) in Bedford, MA.
Position Summary: The Logistics Manager will oversee a full range of logistics activities, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of supplies, equipment, and services from the East Coast to Afghanistan. This role requires expert knowledge of DoD logistics operations, including the 12 Pillars of Logistics, to support defense acquisition and mission-critical needs in a dynamic, high-stakes environment. The Logistics Manager will lead logistics operations, coordinate material, workforce, facilities, and services, and ensure seamless execution of the logistics chain. A key aspect of the role will be guiding project teams and managing cross-functional support to achieve mission objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Directs develops or performs logistics management operations involving planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. The tasks involved include identifying the specific requirements for money, workforce, materials, facilities, and services needed to support the program and correlating those requirements with program plans to ensure that the required support is provided at the right time and place.
- Logistics work requires:
- Knowledge of the acquisition life-cycle and product support planning during each phase.
- Possess the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project.
- Extensive experience with defense acquisition management processes by the DoD 5000.
- Knowledge of the DoD’s integrated product support element structure.
- Familiarity with Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) processes.

- Or 20 years of directly related experience with certifications and 8 years of DoD experience.
- Logistics Expertise: Deep knowledge of the DoD acquisition life-cycle, logistics planning, product support strategies, and the 12 Pillars of Logistics.
- Logistical Support Knowledge: Familiarity with Defense Acquisition Management processes (DoD 5000), Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, and tools like Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project) and experience with DoD management information systems.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring mission-critical tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of Logistics Health Assessment (LHA): Familiarity with assessing and improving logistics support to ensure operational effectiveness.
