Key Responsibilities
Operations & Inventory Management
- Supervise daily parts operations, including scheduling, procurement, receiving, and material distribution
- Ensure parts and materials are available to support maintenance and preventative operations
- Maintain accurate inventory records within CMMS systems, including data entry and reconciliation
- Verify incoming materials and resolve discrepancies (damaged or incorrect shipments)
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, train, and mentor team members to drive performance, safety, and customer satisfaction
- Participate in team briefings, shift handoffs, performance reviews, and recruiting efforts
- Promote accountability and continuous improvement across the team
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Evaluate vendor quotes and performance
- Negotiate purchases and monitor contract compliance
- Ensure cost-effective procurement aligned with operational needs
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze material usage trends and track KPIs
- Develop reports to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime
- Support maintenance and operations leadership with data-driven insights
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce safety standards through daily leadership and participation in inspections
- Ensure compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and safety programs
- Oversee safe operation of forklifts, vehicles, and material handling equipment
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- 2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or maintenance support
- 1–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Mechanical, Industrial, Business, etc.)
- Experience in airport operations, ground support equipment, or facility maintenance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in environments requiring visual focus, depth perception, and situational awareness
Work Environment
- Airport operational setting, including warehouses, maintenance shops, and baggage system areas
- Exposure to moving equipment, aircraft operations, weather conditions, fumes, vibration, and loud noise
