Material Handler – Aerospace (2 Openings)Location: Chantilly, VAContract: 6 months (potential extension)Schedule: 9/80 schedule | Start times: 6:00 AM or 7:00 AMPay: $24–$25/hour (optional benefits available during the contract)About the RoleWe are looking for two reliable and detail-oriented Material Handlers to support warehouse operations in a leading aerospace environment. This role is essential in receiving, storing, and distributing materials to keep production running efficiently. If you enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a structured environment, and take pride in accuracy, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in a high-performance setting.What You’ll DoMaterial Handling & InventoryReceive incoming materials, verify documentation, and check for quality and accuracy.Label, store, and distribute materials according to company procedures.Perform cycle counts and inventory audits; identify and resolve discrepancies.Maintain proper storage methods to protect materials and ensure safety.Documentation & TrackingRecord all received and issued materials (quantities, serial numbers, lot numbers, etc.).Prepare and update packing lists, bills of lading, inventory reports, and related documentation.Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.Quality & Process SupportFollow established quality and safety guidelines throughout all material handling tasks.Support internal audits by providing accurate documents and inventory details.Report issues or discrepancies and assist with implementing corrective actions.Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Team Support & CommunicationWork closely with procurement, production, and quality teams to meet material needs.Communicate inventory levels, shortages, and delivery updates.Assist with material requests to keep production running smoothly.What We’re Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications a plus)Experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse/distribution role—preferably aerospace or manufacturingStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsAbility to manage time effectively and meet deadlinesComfortable using inventory management systems and basic computer toolsAbility to lift/move materials and operate handling equipment safelyStrong teamwork and communication skillsFamiliarity with Lean or continuous improvement practices (preferred)What to Expect After You ApplySubmit your resume.Receive same-day feedback on your application status.Complete a short online screening to review your background and job details.Get next steps within 24 hours.HRU is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
