Job Description
The Lab Technician/Certifying Scientist (LT/CS) will ensure that all laboratory procedures are conducted in compliance with COLA/CLIA regulations. The LT/CS will follow and maintain knowledge of all laboratory procedures and fulfill other tasks as requested. Maintain excellent communication with all personnel.
Essential Functions
- Operate and troubleshoot Sciex 4500 LC/MS/MS instrumentation.
- Perform data review
- Understand and interpret drug metabolism
- Accurately report patient results to physicians
- Maintain lab established turnaround time.
- Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and quality requirement
- Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedure.
- Sample preparation for testing
- Good attendance is expected of all employees as a normal condition of work
- Perform other tasks as requested

Travel
This position requires no travel.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of at least 1-year previous experience as a Certifying Scientist required
- Requires experience in high complexity testing including sample preparation, screening, and confirmation testing.
- Knowledge of drug and their metabolism required
- Knowledge of Sciex 4500 LC/MS/MS instrumentation and Multiquant software - Required
Compensation:
$25 - $27 per hour depending on experience
