HRK Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Social Worker for a Detention Center in Newton, NC. Must have 1-2 years of experience as a Licensed social worker.
- Must have Active LCSW/LMSW for at least one year.
Contract Details
- Length: 13 weeks
- Start date: 08/24/2026
- Schedule/Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hrs/week (40 hrs/wk)
Job Duties:
- Provide counseling and support to individuals facing challenges such as mental health issues, addiction, or homelessness
- Conduct assessments to determine inmates' needs and develop personalized care plans
- Coordinate with other social service agencies to ensure comprehensive support for inmates
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients towards positive change
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical assessment skills, references, and attendance record along with:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
- Current North Carolina State licensure or certification as a Social Worker (LCSW preferred)
- Strong understanding of social work principles and ethics
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of addiction counseling and workforce development
- Current CPR: BLS AHA preferred
Pay Rates:
- LCSW: $55/hr (blended rates may apply)
