The Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate, adaptable Mental Health Counselor to join our team. You’ll provide confidential counseling, partner with workplace decision makers, and collaborate with our wellness and nursing teams to create thriving workplace cultures. What You’ll Do:
● Provide individual counseling onsite, virtually, and via phone.
● Design and deliver engaging workshops, presentations, trainings, and educational materials that promote mental wellness, resilience, and stress management.
● Offer crisis support, de-escalation, and referrals when needed to ensure employee safety and care.
● Apply motivational interviewing, behavioral coaching, and empathy-based techniques to help employees reach their personal and professional goals.
● Collaborate with wellness coaches and nurses on integrated health programs.
● Serve as a trusted mental health resource for employers, working to foster psychologically safe and supportive workplace environments.
What You Bring:
● Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
● Licensed or license-eligible in SD (LPC, LPC-MH, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
● Strong clinical skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
● Experience in workplace mental health, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), or integrated wellness is a plus.
● A genuine passion for holistic wellness and helping organizations and their people thrive.
● Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
