AETC designs, develops, qualifies, and manufactures a variety of product applications, which includes fire extinguisher cartridges, which provide the energy that operates the fire extinguishers on military and commercial aircraft. Other products manufactured at AETC include SMDC initiators, cutters, piston-pusher, piston pullers, valves, and pyrotechnic time delays. Our products, in some cases, are intended to operate explosive devices such as EEDs (Electro-Explosive Devices), EBWs (Exploding Bridge Wires), EFIs (Exploding Foil Initiators), and other similar devices.
AETC is located in Burton, Texas.
Qualifications:Responsibilities include:
- Assemble, load, and inspect CADs, impulse cartridges, and squibs in accordance with approved work instructions.
- Handle energetic materials used for aircraft safety and emergency actuation systems.
- Perform precision assembly operations including component insertion, crimping, staking, sealing, and torque verification.
- Maintain detailed production, inspection, and traceability documentation
- Support scrap, rework, and safe disposition of energetic hardware
- Follow EDS, FOD, and explosives safety controls.
- Perform Final Assembly of units.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand complex drawing and assembly instructions.
- Ability to use common hand tools to assemble electromechanical assemblies.
- Ability to lift and move boxes.
- Must be able to use Microscopes, screw drivers, torque tools and other common hand tools.
- Experience with soldering irons is highly desired.
- Applicant must be a 'US Person' as defined by ITAR (22CFR § 120.62) due to required access to ITAR-controlled technical data; therefore, candidates must be a U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green card holders) or Protected Individuals (asylees/refugees).
