I am supporting a community health center with clinic locations in Manhattan and Queens in their seach for an experienced Human Resources Operations Manager to oversee daily HR operations and support the continued development of efficient, compliant and employee-centered HR processes in a clinical healthcare environment. This role will supervise HR operations staff and help manage key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, training, employee relations, HRIS updates, reporting, and employee records.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior staff on strategies related to retention, professional development, productivity, and quality of care outcomes
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, training, and staff safety programs
- Manage HRIS updates, reporting, and employee records
- Coordinate payroll, benefits administration, and offboarding processes
- Support employee and labor relations, including performance appraisals, staff recognition, counseling, and grievance processes
- Ensure compliance with Workers’ Compensation requirements and applicable employment regulations
- At least 10 years of experience managing HR processes
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare or clinic setting
- SHRM certification preferred
- Strong HRIS and benefits administration experience
- Familiarity with unionized environments preferred
