What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Administrator - Client Facing (Hybrid) position at HR Value Partners?
This role is not for everyone. That is intentional. If you like routine, predictability, and working for a single employer where change is slow, this probably is not your role.If you like being trusted, staying busy, working across multiple companies, and building real HR judgment early in your career, keep reading. What this role gives youYou gain exposure most HR Admins never get: Instead of supporting one company for years, you will work with multiple clients across different industries, leadership styles, and stages of growth. You will see how HR actually functions in the real world, not just how it looks in one organization. You build credibility fast: You are not hidden behind email. You are onsite with clients multiple days per week, interacting with owners, executives, managers, and employees. You develop an “air of confidence” because you are trusted to represent HR Value Partners professionally in real situations. You learn how HR decisions connect to business realities: You support experienced HR Generalists and Consultants, participate in audits, onboarding, compliance work, recruiting support, and client projects. You see why decisions are made, not just how paperwork gets processed. You have a path forward: HR Value Partners is growing. If you want to develop into an HR Generalist or more senior role over time, this position gives you the experience base to do that. Many people do not get that opportunity in traditional HR Admin roles. How your work actually looks day-to-dayHybrid scheduleMost Mondays and Fridays are remoteMost Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are onsite with clientsClients are within a two-hour driving radius of Mount Pleasant, WISome weeks you drive a lot, some weeks very littleIt is normal for multiple clients to reach out in the same dayYour work blends:HRIS and payroll system updates (not processing payroll)Offer letters, employee records, compliance documentationRecruiting coordination and system updatesProject tracking, reporting, and follow-throughClient communication and follow-upVarious administrative tasksYou are expected to move quickly, stay organized, and keep things accurate without being micromanaged What you need to enjoy (or at least accept)Driving to client sites up to three days per weekSwitching between different HRIS, payroll, and ATS systemsManaging multiple priorities without constant directionBeing the calm, professional presence when clients have questions or need helpHaving full days. This role is busy by design. What usually frustrates people (and why it is still worth it)The commute is the biggest challenge. Some client sites are close, others are farther away. If driving feels like wasted time to you, this will not be a fit.The tradeoff is that:· Your experience curve accelerates. You gain more exposure, confidence, and professional judgment here than most HR Admin roles provide, and· You normally work from home two days per week What helps you succeed hereStrong attention to detail and consistencyAbility to complete routine administrative work quickly and accuratelyComfort learning and using multiple HRIS and payroll systemsProfessional presence and confidence with all levels of an organizationStrong work ethic and self-motivationClear, professional written and verbal communicationPride in producing clean, reliable workA degree in HR, Business, or a related field and prior HR administrative experience are helpful.
