Trusts & Estates Paralegal – Providence, RI
We’re working with a highly regarded law firm in Providence that is looking to add a Trusts & Estates Paralegal to its collaborative and busy practice group. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys client interaction and wants to be involved in all aspects of estate planning and administration.
What you’ll do:
You’ll play a key role supporting attorneys and working directly with clients across both estate administration and estate planning matters, including:
- Managing estate administration from start to finish
- Communicating regularly with clients and participating in client meetings
- Preparing and filing probate and related court documents
- Coordinating with banks, advisors, and other third parties to gather asset information
- Assisting with the administration of estate assets through closing
- Preparing estate accountings
- Gathering financial data and assisting with federal and state estate tax returns
On the estate planning side, you’ll also:
- Draft simple estate planning documents (wills, powers of attorney, health care proxies, revocable trusts)
- Prepare and record deeds and trust funding documents
- Work directly with clients to collect and organize planning information
What we’re looking for:
- 3 years of trusts & estates experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters at once
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, client-facing demeanor
