Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Director, Corporate Banking, FIG Insurance professional to join a high-performing, globally connected Corporate Banking team with a leading presence across North America. As a Director on there Insurance team, you’ll play a pivotal role at the intersection of credit expertise, client strategy, and deal execution—shaping complex financial solutions for some of the most sophisticated insurance clients in the market.
This is a unique opportunity to combine portfolio leadership with front-line relationship management, driving both revenue growth and risk excellence within a dynamic, collaborative capital markets environment.

What You’ll Do
As a senior leader on the team, you will:
- Lead client relationships and originate new business within the insurance sector (Life, Non-Life, and Distribution), expanding our presence across North America, the Caribbean, and Europe
- Structure and execute complex lending transactions, balancing client needs with disciplined risk management
- Own a diverse portfolio of insurance clients, providing strategic oversight, credit stewardship, and ongoing advisory support
- Drive cross-platform collaboration, partnering with capital markets and product teams to deliver integrated financial solutions
- Identify and unlock growth opportunities, increasing share of wallet through thoughtful cross-sell strategies
- Develop and present tailored financial solutions, leading client discussions and delivering impactful pitch materials
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics to proactively advise clients and protect portfolio performance
- Lead deal execution end-to-end, including credit underwriting, due diligence, financial modeling, and internal approvals
- Mentor and guide team members, elevating performance and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
Requirements:
What You Bring
- 10 years of experience in Corporate Banking with deep expertise in the insurance sector
- Proven success in originating, structuring, and negotiating lending transactions, with a strong cross-sell track record
- Advanced knowledge of credit analysis, portfolio management, and risk assessment
- Strong understanding of financial products and capital markets solutions
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted client relationships
- Experience navigating complex, ambiguous situations with sound judgment and creativity
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred; MBA, CFA, or equivalent is a plus
Education Requirements:
Undergraduate degree has focal areas of finance, economics, or accounting preferred with high academic achievement. MBA, CFA or equivalent experience preferred in financial services, accounting, or legal fields.
