What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager position at HR Pals?
The Sales/Service Manager will be responsible for effectively coaching, mentoring and identifying sales and service personnel to be the next generation of top sales performers while maintaining industry-leading customer service and experience. Additionally, they will be expected to craft successful sales strategies for each target market and train staff to execute and implement.
A successful Sales/Service manager will help create a culture of success through robust competition, extremely high standards, effective ongoing support, and consistent accountability. Team success will be the top key performance indicator to measure success in this role.
Core responsibilities of the Sales/Service Manager role are sales strategy and analytic reporting, team training, centralization and development, spearheading and continuously improving culture and growing new territories and acquiring new clients (Targeting local and small – medium sized organizations). Additional responsibilities will include:
Daily:
- Phone/In-person/Vid connect with individual Sales/Service employee
- Review customer visits and review entire customer list for visits
- Set full task lists for service personnel
- Review CRM for each Sales/Service employee
- Accompany sales personnel to all scheduled sales meetings
- Accompany all sales/service personnel to sensitive service meetings.
- Oversee CSR tasks in Teams and Slack – timely completions
- Review daily and weekly delivery schedules two weeks out
- Communicate directly with Scheduling personnel
- Review with service/acct managers for customer coordination
Weekly:
- All hands personnel meeting in person
- Prospect lists/Agendas/Quotes/Quotas/Installs
- Review individuals’ performance metrics with the entire team
- Directors Meeting
- Individual scheduled check-ins with leadership.
- Agings & Sales Report Review
- Completed deliveries review for back orders or deviations
Monthly:
- Sales numbers reviews
- Documents submissions, Expenses, Commissions reviews
- Review CRM and Mileage apps for each Sales/Service employee
- Commissions reports to sales personnel and payroll
- Collections Meeting with Admin Dept.
Quarterly:
- Previous quarter analysis
- Personnel performance including quotas
- Wins/Losses/Lessons
- Price increases, cost controls, and customer reviews
- Goal-Setting and timelines review
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years of proven business sales success/skills including leading sales team, prospecting, lead generation, appointment setting and leadership of sales presentations
- Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
- Proactive, goal-oriented sales professional.
- Demonstrated competency in closing deals through effective negotiations
- Effective time management skills to support multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and customer services skills.
- Professional demeanor, high level of integrity, ethics, and standards.
- Experienced within CMS platforms (example – HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipe Drive, etc.)
- Experienced with traditional sales processes.
- Travel Required.
