Position Overview
The CNC Machine Operating Supervisor will oversee daily operations of our stone-cutting CNC equipment while actively working alongside the team. You'll ensure machines run smoothly, troubleshoot issues, coach operators, and maintain high standards of craftsmanship expected at Roma Tile & Marble.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC stone fabrication machinery (saws, routers, polishers) daily
- Supervise and support polishing team, providing training and guidance
- Manage production workflow to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain safe working conditions and enforce company safety policies
- Inspect finished workpieces to ensure accuracy and craftsmanship
- Coordinate with shop leadership regarding materials, schedules, and priorities
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure proper documentation
- 3 years of CNC machine operating experience (stone fabrication preferred)
- Prior supervisory or lead experience in a shop or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Experience with stone fabrication tools, materials, and processes is a plus
- Reliable, safety-driven, and able to lead a team effectively
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
