What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance position at HR Generalist?
Position Summary: Perform audio and visual inspections on production samples to ensure a high level of quality.
Essential Job Duties:
- Verify that the correct components have been used by inspectors and press operators according to the production order sheet across the production floor.
- Ensure that there were no quality errors missed by the Inspectors or QCs throughout the shift.
- Confirm that the matrix numbers, labels, and vinyl color are correct for the production order.
- Inspect record for dimples, scuffs, or scratches that may impair audio quality.
- Check the edges of the record for a clean, beveled edge and that the LP is perfectly round.
- Confirm that the weight is within specifications according to URP QC Standards.
- Listen to the lead-in and lead-out of each track to confirm the songs are in the correct sequence and correspond with the test pressing. Ensure there are no audio quality issues such as surface noise, pops, or ticks.
- Inspect a production record from the production cart. If the record passes inspection, then sign off on the incomplete/complete form with your initials and time. This needs to be completed 3 times per shift.
- Record all notes on the quality control inspector sheets provided daily.
- Maintain a clean workspace.
- Notify supervisor if any components are incorrect or if any records have been defected.
- Assume the duties of an Inspector or QC when staffing is low.
- All other duties as requested by supervisor.
