Duties
- Process payroll using platforms such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring all employee data is accurate and up-to-date
- Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments
- Manage benefits administration and coordinate with HRIS systems to ensure seamless data integration
- Perform data entry tasks related to payroll processing, tax calculations, and deductions with high accuracy
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable related to payroll expenses and benefits payments
- Support non-profit or governmental accounting procedures as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with audits by providing detailed reports on payroll activities and financial data analysis
Experience
- Proven experience working with payroll management systems such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, or UltiPro
- Strong knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping
- Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently in high-volume environments
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll processing and reporting requirements
- Strong analysis skills for reviewing financial data and identifying discrepancies or issues
