About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team in Ontario, CA! In this hands-on role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping our advanced CNC machinery and facility systems running at peak performance.

- Training Period: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (for a few weeks/months doe)
- Permanent Shift: Swing (4:30 PM – 1:00 AM)
What You’ll Do
Production Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize CNC machines (mills, lathes, 3- and 5-axis equipment such as Mitsubishi, Mori-Seiki, Okuma).
- Perform hands-on repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and servo/drive systems.
- Conduct alignment, calibration, spindle checks, and machine leveling to ensure precision output.
Preventive Maintenance Leadership
- Lead and execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Perform routine inspections including lubrication, linear guide checks, coolant systems, and machine condition monitoring.
Equipment & Facility Support
- Maintain and repair facility systems including:
- Electrical wiring, motor starters, PLC I/O
- Plumbing, pumps, cranes, compressed air systems
- Conveyors and material handling equipment
- Support machine installations, relocations, rebuilds, and upgrades.
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve processes and reduce downtime.
Safety First
- Follow and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety protocols.
- Participate in job safety analyses, toolbox talks, and ensure safe use of equipment (forklifts, lifts, etc.).
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong expertise in CNC diagnostics and repair (mechanical, electrical, servo systems, spindles, axes).
- 5 years of electrical and mechanical experience with solid understanding of industry best practices.
- Experience working with facility systems (electrical, plumbing, pumps, cranes, compressed air).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems independently.
- Experience (or willingness to certify) in operating:
- Forklifts
- Boom lifts
- Scissor lifts
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical certification or AA degree in Electronics, CNC Repair, or related field preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- 90% shop floor / 10% office environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights and in an industrial setting
- Frequent bending, stooping, and use of tools requiring manual dexterity
- PPE required (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, etc.)
