Director of Operations / Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Executive Opportunity

We are a growing specialty construction and facilities service organization seeking an experienced operational leader to help guide our next stage of growth.

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, supporting field operations, and creating scalable systems within a growing organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading project-based operations, field service teams, construction operations, or multi-location service organizations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with ownership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational improvements.
• Lead Operations Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field service teams.
• Improve scheduling, communication, project execution, and accountability across multiple locations.
• Develop KPIs, reporting processes, budgets, forecasts, and operational performance metrics.
• Build scalable processes, procedures, and systems to support continued company growth.
• Drive operational excellence focused on safety, quality, customer service, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience.
• Experience leading field service, construction, facilities maintenance, specialty contracting, or similar operations.
• Background managing multi-site teams, technicians, project managers, or field employees.
• Strong financial understanding including budgets, forecasting, KPIs, and operational performance.
• Experience developing leaders, improving processes, and scaling growing organizations.
• Ability to partner directly with ownership and executive leadership.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred:

• Petroleum or fueling construction
• Fuel system installation or maintenance
• Convenience store construction
• Commercial facilities maintenance
• Specialty contracting
• Utilities or infrastructure services
• Multi-site field service operations
