What You'll Do:
As the HR Generalist / Manager, you will lead full-cycle recruiting, workforce planning, onboarding, and employee rela tions activities across multiple locations. You will also ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and com pany standards, with the goal of building a strong workforce, fostering a positive employee experience, and supporting operational success.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Lead and execute full-cycle recruiting efforts, partnering with hiring managers to identify, attract, and secure talent.
- Drive workforce planning initiatives, actively building and maintaining talent pipelines aligned to business needs.
- Own and deliver onboarding processes, ensuring effective integration and a positive new hire experience.
- Conduct and facilitate new hire orientations across Indiana locations, ensuring consistent onboarding experience and compliance with company standards.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for Indiana locations to ensure employees questions are answered timely and correctly.
- Manage and resolve employee workplace issues, including performance concerns and policy violations.
- Conduct and oversee workplace investigations; ensure timely, fair, and well-documented outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Interpret policies and provide consistent guidance across the plants.
- Partner with managers at Indiana locations to align HR practices with business objectives.
- Provide guidance on performance management and organizational effectiveness.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Business Administration or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 3 years of experience recruiting for professional roles within a manufacturing environment preferred. Will need a general understanding of employment investigations and employee laws.
- Certifications: N/A
- Functional Skills: Excellent skills in planning, prioritization and organization; Must possess superior attention to detail and follow-through skills; Results-oriented; strong problem-solving, and time-management skills. Familiar with setting up priorities, goals, and metrics to track success.
- Technology Skills: Strong aptitude with computers, ERP systems, ATS systems and other recruiting resources such as job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written & verbal communication skills, able to present to individuals and groups.
- Leadership/ Behaviors: Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain an optimistic and supportive attitude and maintain the strictest confidence in all matters regarding the company's operations, its employees, its financial matters, and personal matters of which the employee may become aware in the course of their work. Other Important Information:
Pay/Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. - And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!
Reports To: HR Director
Core Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 8 hours within this timeframe)
Typical Work Week: M-F; 40 - 45 hours a week on average
Direct Reports: None
Travel: Limited; All three locations are within 10 miles of each other.
Work Environment: Typical office and manufacturing environments.
