What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at HQ Pack?
Lead the floor. Drive performance. Build a team that delivers.
HQ Pack is growing — and we’re looking for a Production Manager who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and knows how to turn complexity into structure, flow, and results.
This is not a “desk role.” This is for a leader who is present on the floor, close to the team, and driven to improve operations every single day.
About HQ Pack
HQ Pack is a global leader in high-tech packaging solutions, supporting industries where precision, cleanliness, and protection are critical — including semiconductors and advanced technology systems.
From design and production to cleanroom services and reuse, we manage the full lifecycle of packaging — delivering reliability where it matters most.
What You’ll Do
As Production Manager, you will own day-to-day operations and drive performance across the site:
- Lead and supervise production teams, including operators, assemblers, and cleanroom technicians
- Plan and prioritize daily production based on customer demand and project timelines
- Coordinate workflow across cutting, assembly, finishing, and shipping
- Track performance and ensure orders are delivered on time, in full, and within budget
- Identify bottlenecks and implement practical, hands-on improvements
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis)
- Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Maintain high standards in safety, quality, and operational discipline
- Step in when needed — you lead by example on the floor
What You Bring
You are a hands-on production leader who combines structure with adaptability:
- 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
- Experience in low-volume / high-mix production (custom builds is a strong plus)
- Background in packaging, carpentry, fabrication, or mechanical assembly is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling
- Proven ability to solve problems quickly and effectively on the floor
- Strong leadership style — clear, direct, and team-oriented
- Able to balance planning, execution, and firefighting when needed
- Fluent in English and eligible to work in the U.S.
Why This Role
- Real ownership of production operations
- A hands-on leadership role with visible impact
- Opportunity to shape and improve a growing operation
- Work in a high-tech, international environment
- Competitive salary and benefits
Work Environment
