The Air Force Global Strike Command staff is searching for a Nuclear Logistics Program Manager. Come join our amazing team who ensures operational nuclear weapons are available to the combatant commander.

Description of Position: MAJCOM Stockpile Manager responsible for the management of the full range of life-cycle logistics and stockpile functions as outlined in various agreements between DOW and DOE.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert and focal point for all stockpile requirements of an assigned USAF Nuclear Weapons Program.
  • USAF focal point for the nuclear stockpile and maintenance management of nuclear weapons, TYPE weapon trainers, Modifications/Alterations/Retrofits, Use Control/Test/Handling Equipment, Limited Life Components, and associated Joint Nuclear Weapons Publications.
  • Leads and participates in inter-agency, integrated product teams that assess weapon system current and future weapons system needs and develops long-range plans for stockpile management.
  • Represents HQ AFGSC and the Nuclear Stockpile Division and serves as a stockpile specialist in stockpile management of Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Support Systems.
  • Conducts Staff Assistance Visits (training) of munitions activities, Inspector General augmentation, providing technically accurate information on issues at staff meetings, and integrating actions of various offices to provide overview of significant activities for management.

Desired Skills/Expertise:

  • Knowledge of policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to the nuclear stockpile, nuclear weapon support systems, and nuclear logistics.
  • Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of DOW and AF organizations.
  • Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures to include extensive knowledge of AF and MAJCOM responsibilities for nuclear surety.
  • Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing; to establish and maintain positive relationships between diverse organizations; and represent the Air Force in a positive and professional manner.
  • Broad knowledge of DOW regulatory requirements, policies and procedures related to technologies affecting the safety, security, reliability, compatibility and certification of AF weapons systems as applicable to nuclear logistics.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance with Special Access Program approvals.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position under the Civilian Drug Testing Program.
  • Occasional travel away from regular duty location may be required.
  • May be required to work irregular duty hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
  • Employees must meet the DAWIA requirements applicable to the duties of the position.

Pay: $107,592.00 - $139,871.00 per year
