Technical Engineering Manager responsible for leading the sustenance of internal devices and high-level prototypes while guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing product support.
- Lead and manage a cross-functional team of firmware, mechanical, and electrical engineers to deliver reliable device solutions and prototype iterations.
- Build, maintain, and communicate weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics to track progress, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the design, development, and minor enhancements of firmware and software for internal devices and prototype platforms.
- Translate customer and stakeholder requirements into clear user stories, functional requirements, and development estimates.
- Partner with product managers and end users to define, document, and refine product features, functionality, and technical requirements.
- Collaborate closely with QA, software, and product engineering teams to create, maintain, and evolve test plans and automation strategies that improve product quality.
- Actively participate in issue triage, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis, ensuring processes and findings are clearly documented.
- Maintain strong communication with peers, cross-functional teams, and leadership to ensure alignment on priorities, risks, and deliverables.
- Contribute expertise in designing, extending, and improving existing test frameworks to support scalable validation and automation.
- Apply strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues across hardware, firmware, and software environments.
- Use computer-based systems and command-line tools effectively for analysis, diagnostics, and automation, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the full product development lifecycle, including specifications, use cases, user stories, implementation, QA, deployment, and maintenance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Several years of experience in engineering management, technical program leadership, or product development within hardware, firmware, or embedded systems environments.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams across firmware, mechanical, electrical, software, and QA disciplines.
- Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, implementation, validation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience translating business or customer requirements into user stories, technical requirements, and delivery estimates.
- Demonstrated success in troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving issue resolution across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience developing or extending test frameworks, validation methodologies, and automation strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
