Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of corporate accounting functions, including general ledger reconciliation, payroll, accounts payable and receivable management, and journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and other regulatory standards.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements with accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and account analysis to maintain data integrity.
- Oversee internal controls to safeguard confidential information and ensure adherence to compliance policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits; support regulatory reporting requirements; facilitate audit procedures efficiently.
- Utilize financial software to generate detailed financial reports using spreadsheets and Microsoft Office tools for analysis and decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial management initiatives to optimize organizational resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Proven experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong background in corporate accounting principles.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas including financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, accrual accounting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency with financial software; advanced skills in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with public accounting or auditing is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring teams; excellent communication skills for financial report writing and interpretation.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion; high attention to detail; strong analytical skills in financial concepts such as debits & credits, accounts payable/receivable management, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
