HPM Building Supply is seeking to hire a full-time Base Yard Manager - Logistics and Distribution in Puunene (Central Maui Baseyard), Hawaii.
The Base Yard Manager - Logistics & Distribution is a senior operational leader responsible for the performance, reliability, and scalability of HPM Building Supply's centralized receiving, distribution, and delivery operations for Maui County.
This role leads the Central Maui Base Yard, which functions as the logistics spine supporting multiple retail branches, pro-sector contractor deliveries, and on-island manufacturing operations. The Base Yard Manager - Logistics and Distribution owns the end-to-end execution of inbound freight, yard flow, order fulfillment, dispatch, and last-mile delivery, with direct accountability for on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance, productivity, safety, and cost control.
As regional sales growth has outpaced legacy systems and configurations, this role is expected to build scalable processes, introduce operational discipline, and lead continuous improvement, ensuring the logistics operation can support sustained growth while consistently delivering an exceptional customer experience.
The Base Yard Manager - Logistics and Distribution coaches, develops, and leads a team of approximately 10-20 logistics and yard professionals, while partnering closely with Retail Operations, Pro Sales, Truss Systems Hawaii, and Regional Leadership.
The typical schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in logistics, yard operations, distribution, or a related operational environment
Experience in high-volume, fast-paced operations preferred
Forklift, load building, and material handling experience strongly preferred
Building materials or construction supply experience a plus
Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation
