About the Role
The Designer creates and establishes simple designs consistent with good practices, client requirements and conformance to Codes & Standards. Designers apply standard drafting techniques to generate and interpret drawings in support of assigned projects and provide guidance and leadership to drafters to ensure that all established Company and client design standards and practices are followed.
Responsibilities
- Piping Designer with CAD Worx & Field experience to perform Field Walk down of existing P&ID’s, shoot elevation with level & tripod, locating tie point dimensionally, and Routing pipe through existing facilities.
- Some projects will utilize laser Scanning so experience with the 3D scan and CAD is a plus.
- Experience with executing projects within existing facilities with obstructions and other design constraints.
- Generates design and detail drawings including orthographic, plans/sections, and isometrics to support Discipline Leads.
- Generates P&ID documentation.
- Manages and maintains the Project Documentation (e.g., flat files, reference/stick files, CAD drawings).
- Assists in developing design and detailed drawings including 3D models, piping plans/isometrics and assisting in field work, as necessary.
- Interacts with other departments and disciplines to obtain pertinent information.
- Must have the ability to work with Sr. Designers and grow within the organization.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years design/drafting experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, and CAD software.
- Valid driver’s license
