SUMMARY
The Senior Electrical Designer will provide electrical design services on a variety of commercial building projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as Lead Designer on assigned projects
- Manage the planning and scheduling of assigned projects of various sizes and complexity
- Ensure quality control and assurance metrics are met throughout project duration
- Work with clients to deliver the end project
- Visit the site once under construction at regular intervals as required by the project
- Provide cost control during the design and construction process
- Maintain project schedule and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilization
- Coordinate the work of assigned team members
- Coach and mentor team members
- Technical design on assigned projects
- Assist in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings and for renovations and additions to existing facilities
- Provide coordination of project designs with other disciplines
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of a high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED)
- Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit
- Seven (7) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electrical design
- Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of the design of lighting, receptacle, and data layouts based on building types
- Knowledge of running photometrics with AG132 or Visual
- Knowledge of related building and electrical codes
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices
- Proficient in the use of Revit
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer designation
- Previous project manager or senior designer experience
- Certifications in Energy Management
- Ten (10 ) years of experience in the MEP field
- Advanced proficiency in the use of Revit
