Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product information, and resolving any issues.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
- Perform merchandising duties, including product displays, signage, and promotional setups to attract customers.
- Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on new items or promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work atmosphere.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a retail setting.
