Role Description The Real Estate Paralegal will support attorneys in residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and organizing legal documents, coordinating with clients, lenders, brokers, and title companies, and tracking key dates and deliverables. The role involves reviewing purchase and sale agreements, assisting with title work and title insurance documentation, and preparing closing packages and settlement statements. The paralegal will communicate regularly with clients to provide status updates and gather required information while maintaining accurate files and records. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Quincy, MA.
Qualifications
- Ability to prepare and manage legal documents related to real estate transactions, including contracts, closing documents, and associated correspondence
- Experience conducting due diligence for real estate matters, including reviewing property records, coordinating title searches, and verifying transaction details
- Knowledge of title insurance processes and documentation, and ability to collaborate with title companies to resolve title issues
- Understanding of commercial real estate transactions and the unique documentation, timelines, and compliance requirements associated with them is a plus (Commercial Real Estate).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, lenders, brokers, and colleagues.
- Proficiency with QUALIA and real estate or legal case management tools; comfort learning new technology platforms.
- Prior experience as a real estate paralegal or in a real estate law firm setting is necessary.
