What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coating Technician position at Hoya?
We are currently hiring a Coating Technician (Various Shifts)
Location: Hoya Vision, 7000 Sunwood Dr NW, Ramsey, MN 55303
Hourly Rate: $22 per hour ( shift differential, see below for more information)
Shifts Available:
1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-2:30PM

What you'll do:
- Prepare lenses for the coating process, ensuring they are free from defects and ready for the next stage.
- Load and operate the AR Coating machine, monitoring its function and intervening as needed.
- Inspect coated lenses for quality, using specialized equipment to measure and assess coatings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and record keeping.
