What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Hoxton Circle?
We are currently partnering with a growing healthcare organization in the North Bergen area on a Senior Accountant opportunity reporting directly to the Controller. This is a well-rounded role offering strong exposure across accounting and finance, with clear visibility and growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own month-end close activities, including general ledger and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and ensure accuracy in reporting
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
• Conduct account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
• Prepare and analyze key financial metrics and revenue trends
• Present monthly financial analysis to business leadership and collaborate on forward-looking expectations
• Review and interpret insurance carrier data, including contracts, commissions, and policy activity
• Partner with other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc financial projects
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements across accounting functions
Qualifications:
• 5 years of total accounting experience
• 2 years with a Top 10 public accounting firm (preferred) plus private sector/corporate accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills (advanced proficiency required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Bright, driven, curious professional looking to grow within the organization
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
