Responsibilities

Job Summary

Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for Wax Injection associatesin our Patterns Business Center at our Engines Products - Cleveland Operations Tempcraft facility located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd. in Cleveland. This position is responsible for the ensuring that customer requirements are meet for the Aerospace Industry prior to shipping.

This position is from Friday to Sunday, 6AM-6:30PM.

Employees work 36 hours each week and are paid for 40 hours. Voluntary overtime opportunities are available during the week in accordance with the company's 16/64 rule.

Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high-performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation.

Job Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Production Area Lead, the Wax Injector position is accountable for:

  • This position is responsible for injecting wax dies
  • Meeting cell production needs
  • Responsible for quality of the patterns you inject
  • Responsible for showing the supervisor first pattern you inject on each setup
  • Responsible for parameters set in machine
  • Able to get tools from shelves and setup on the machine
  • Able to read the Activity Instructions and Product Criteria for each job
  • Responsible for keeping the machine and tooling clean

Job Specifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Able to pass an annual eye exam per Jaeger

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to effectively work AND communicate as part of a cell team

While not exposed to hazardous materials, this position requires wearing PPE (personal protection equipment). Following all basic safety precautions will reduce risk of potential injury. This position requires anywhere from light to moderate physical activity, such as walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time, as well as some lifting.

Howmet Aerospace - Tempcraft is a key internal supplier to Howmet Engine Systems (HES) through two Business Centers:

  • Patterns Business Center (Wax Patterns, Molds, and Plastic Airfoils)
  • Tooling Business Center (Wax, Plastic and Ceramic Injection Core Tooling, Fixtures, and Gauges)

Hourly Range: $17-20 hourly approximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location) plus shift differential.
