What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Engineer position at Howmet Aerospace?
We are looking for a hands-on Product Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and working closely with both engineering and manufacturing teams.
In this role, you’ll help ensure our products are engineered for quality, efficiency and on time delivery while collaborating across departments to keep production running smoothly. What You’ll Do
- Engineer and support manufacturing processes for new and existing investment cast products
- Design and implement tooling while optimizing dimensional performance and manufacturing yield
- Coordinate production schedules and part flow to meet customer delivery requirements
- Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
- Develop manufacturing routings, processing instructions and technical documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality and cost
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience working in engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
Preferred Experience
- Investment casting or technical manufacturing experience
- SolidWorks or NX CAD experience
- Experience with Minitab, statistical analysis or advanced Excel
