Howl at the Moon Louisville is hiring Door Hosts / Security professionals to help create a safe, welcoming, and energetic environment for all guests. If you have experience in bar security, nightlife security, or crowd management, this is a great opportunity to work in one of the city’s top live music venues.
About the Role
Our Security / Door Hosts are the first point of contact for every guest entering the venue. This role is essential for maintaining safety, enforcing policies, and helping guests have an amazing night out.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they enter and check IDs for age and entry requirements
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the venue to ensure safety
- Monitor crowd flow, lines, and high-traffic areas
- De-escalate situations professionally and follow safety protocols
- Enforce venue policies with consistency and respect
- Communicate clearly with the management team, bartenders, and servers
- Assist with guest issues, lost items, and overall customer service
Qualifications
- Prior security or door host experience preferred (nightlife, bar, or event security a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout a high-energy venue
- Professional, calm, and confident demeanor
- Must be 21
- Available nights, weekends, and holidays
